1. The inoculation unit should have a dedicated person responsible for the disinfection and destruction of disposable syringes;
2. Establish records of the allocation or purchase, use, and destruction of disposable syringes. The records should be complete and the accounts should be consistent;
3. Disposable syringes should be used for vaccination. You can also choose a standard disposable syringe with a specification of 1.0ml or 2.0ml and a No. 5 needle. The disposable syringe must be a qualified product produced by a regular manufacturer with an approval number. It is recommended that the 0.5ml disposable self-destructing syringe is the first choice;
4. The use of disposable syringes for preventive vaccination must strictly implement the "one person, one needle, one tube, one use, one destruction" system;
5. When using disposable syringes, the staff of the grassroots inoculation unit should check whether the syringe packaging is intact and within the validity period. Products whose packaging is damaged or have exceeded the validity period shall not be used;
6. When the inoculation is completed, put the used disposable syringe into a puncture-proof safe collection container (safe box) made of strong material, and hand it in for disposal before the next inoculation. It is strictly forbidden to reuse disposable syringes;
7. After use, the disposable syringe can be deformed by a destroyer, or after the needle and barrel are separated by manual destruction, the needle can be directly placed in a puncture-proof container or clamped with pliers for more than 90 degrees, and the syringe can be clamped with pliers. If it is cut off, soak it for more than 60 minutes in a disinfectant containing 1000mg/L of available chlorine;
8. The used disposable syringes should be concentrated in the township (town) health center for harmless treatment. The methods include incineration, destruction and disinfection, and deep burial after incineration. When using a safety box for incineration, the temperature should be above 800C to reduce air pollution; if there is no safety box, an incinerator with a lower temperature (300C ~ 400C) can also be used. In areas where there are no destroyers and incinerators, the method of deep burial after incineration can be adopted.
